Led by Elise Sims, MD, Alabama Wellness & Aesthetics brings together providers, nurses, and patient care professionals who are passionate about helping patients feel heard, encouraged, and supported from their first visit to every milestone. The team is here to guide you with personalized care across weight loss, aesthetics, wellness, and regenerative medicine.

Physician

Elise Sims, MD

Elise Sims, MD is the physician at both offices of Alabama Wellness Physicians. She earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed her internship in family medicine at the University of Louisville. While she is family medicine trained, her current areas of focus and passion are functional medicine, weight loss medicine, anti-aging and regenerative medicine.
Dr. Sims is married to her husband, Christopher, and together they have three children: Macrae, Hawken, and Bear. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and pets, gardening, reading, and working on her sourdough breads.

Nurse Practitioner

April Garrigan, DNP, CRNP, FNP-C

April Garrigan has been in healthcare for almost 20 years. First as a Patient Care Tech, then as a registered nurse and now a nurse practitioner. She obtained her masters from Auburn University. She has been practicing as a nurse practitioner for almost 13 years. She started in the ED at UAB, then did urgent care before deciding she was passionate about aesthetics. She has one puppy child, her name is Charlie.

Nurse Practitioner

Aleigh Luttrell, MSN, CRNP, FNP-C

Aleigh Luttrell is a registered nurse who recently earned her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Jacksonville State University, where she also completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She is excited to begin seeing patients as a nurse practitioner and is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals and families in Southside. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Jackson, their son, Stetson, and their dog, Millie. In her free time, she loves going on walks, exercising, and making memories with family and friends. She will be accepting patients soon and looks forward to welcoming you to our clinic and being a part of your healthcare journey.

Clinic Administrator

Dawson Boggs

Dawson Boggs serves as the Clinic Administrator overseeing both clinics. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management and Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration at Jacksonville State University. He and his Wife, Maggie, have one son named Shepherd and a sweet dog named Henry. In his time away from work, he loves making memories with his family, attending church, and watching sitcoms. He is passionate about helping each patient achieve their health and wellness goals, so they leave our clinic better than when they began their journey!

Clinic Operations & Marketing Coordinator

Laina Dutton

Laina Dutton is our clinic operations and marketing coordinator, working remotely for both offices. Her top priority is to make every patient feel valued and to help them become the healthiest version of their self. She strives to ensure that every patient feels heard, understood, and motivated from their very first visit to their final milestone. She looks forward to meeting you and helping you on this health journey! Outside of work, you can normally find Laina traveling with her husband, Samuel, for his professional baseball career. Laina enjoys spending time with her friends and family, exercising, and playing with her dog Champ!

Registered Nurse - Birmingham Office

Haley Bonner

Haley Bonner is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. Haley started her nursing career as a critical care nurse before finding her passion in weight loss and aesthetic nursing. Haley loves every aspect of helping patients reach their health and physique goals, and she values the relationships that are built along the way. When Haley is not at the clinic, she enjoys going to the gym, watching reality T.V., and spending time with her family and friends. She looks forward to meeting with you and helping you on your weight loss and aesthetics journey!

Kayse Brown

Kayse Brown has over a decade of experience in the medical profession. With a strong passion for aesthetics, Kayse is committed to supporting individuals in enhancing their confidence and overall well-being. Kayse consistently strives to assist others in achieving their personal goals. Outside of her career, Kayse is devoted to her family. Kayse has three wonderful kids, Trace (18), Liam (16), and Lexi (14) while being in a committed relationship with her partner, Jared (Bubba).

Patient Services Coordinator- Birmingham Office

Helaine Kanter

Helaine Kanter is a Birmingham native who joined the team in 2026. Driven by a passion to serve patients and help them achieve their aesthetic goals, she views this process as a meaningful journey. As a dedicated advocate for her patients, she finds deep fulfillment in seeing others realize their dreams, which motivates her personally. Her commitment to serving others is at the heart of her work. She gently guides patients through their operations, ensuring they feel heard and supported every step of the way. Outside of her professional life, Helaine enjoys spending time with her 3 cats and indulges her creativity through flower arranging. She also attends concerts and frequents the Pepper Place Farmers Market.

Registered Nurse - Southside Office

Genevieve Nance

Genevieve Nance is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition Wellness. Genevieve graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from South Alabama. She started her nursing career as a Labor and Delivery nurse. She continues to do this as well. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Peyton, little boy Sullivan, and dog Finn. She enjoys going on walks, shopping, and cooking. Genevieve knows that everyone’s weight loss goals are different. She cannot wait to get to know you and help you achieve your personal goals.

Clinical Coordinator - Southside Office

Harley Orr

Harley Orr is a Southside local who brings a warm, personable approach to her work and relationships. She is married to her husband, Gavin, and they enjoy traveling together and spending time at home with their dog, Maggie. In her free time, Harley loves cooking and creating meals to share with family and friends, reflecting her passion for bringing people together.
